About the cohort

Communicate Like a Pro (CLAP) is a 6 month program for CEOs, Senior Leaders, and Founders who are managing through growth and require expanded communication abilities and leadership development.

This group coaching experience teaches, supports, and challenges you to develop mindset shifts and skills to transform how you navigate conversations, such as pitching to close clients, giving critical feedback, commanding executive presence, and advocating for personal boundaries.

Our goal? You will build trust with yourself and others, and handle emotionally challenging situations with more confidence, clarity, and fun.

How it works:

The cohort is made up of 6-8 curated members who are at similar stages of their leadership and growth journey. We meet every 2 weeks for 1.5 hours (90 mins) across 6 months. This time is required to give space for deep change and collective advancement. We tackle mindset & communication skills through my researched and battle-tested frameworks, and in the process help each other push beyond self-limiting beliefs and behaviors.

  • High-performing leaders managing teams of 3-50 people who feel stretched, stuck, and/or dissatisfied with their relationships at work.

  • Founders facing new demands at work that require new skills such as team building and vision setting.

  • Leaders who need to level up their communication skills, such as clarity, conciseness, conflict resolution, persuasion, and building alignment.

The Curriculum

Through thousands of hours of research, I’ve developed and tested a rigorous curriculum. My training model is based on my unique insight that communication happens on 3 levels - with yourself, with your team, and with your stakeholders. I’ll teach you how to master communication at all 3 levels, starting with yourself.

  • Phase I: Connections: We’ll start with your relationship to yourself, figure out your mindset needs, and define your leadership values.

  • Phase II: Curiosity: We’ll walk through the leadership communication and relationship tools you need. These are learned behaviors that we’ll practice together.

  • Phase III: Capacity: We’ll activate and build the muscle for good leadership, and work on extending this to your organizational culture, impacting your direct reports, managers, peers, and stakeholders.

  • Outside of the bi-weekly meetings, the group will do pre and post-session assignments and/or suggested reading, and optional Mastermind Sessions for ad hoc coaching for specific problems. There is access to a private Linkedin community and shared Google Drive where all reading and additional coaching resources can be accessed.

  • All participants will be personally vetted to ensure active participation and commitment.

  • Most small groups emphasize problem solving over personal growth. While problem solving in a specific situation can be valuable, it’s often short-term. When a new challenging situation arises with different dynamics and stakes, leaders often fail because old mindsets and patterns of belief are still being applied. Your culture is already inheriting those unconscious negative and unproductive patterns, which further hinders your ability to grow your company effectively.

    This group stops this cycle by focusing first on the communication and growth potential of the leader. We will uncover your blind spots to develop greater awareness. This information gives you the power and ability to communicate more consciously and effectively. The end result is a transformation of the leader who is now able to produce a clearer strategy and framework to get the results they want. From there, we layer in a supportive and safe community and clear accountability.

  • In this group, we work to avoid giving advice and instead prioritize sharing personal experiences, and the lessons learned from those experiences. We will be guided by the essence of the quote: “If you give a person a plane ticket they will fly for a day, but if you teach them how to fly a plane, they will fly for the rest of their life.” Advice is the equivalent of giving someone a plane ticket. We want you to become a proficient pilot. So the focus of the group is not to give advice, but to help you craft your own frameworks and approaches to problem solving, so you become more capable over time to FLY on your own.
